Indigo Blue Powder

Description

Indigo is a vat dye and works differently to every other natural dye. Add the powder to warm water and simmer for 30-60 minutes, cool to lukewarm, then add a natural reducer such as fructose or soda ash. Immerse pre-wetted fabric and agitate gently for 5-15 minutes. Remove and rinse until the water runs clear; the color deepens as it oxidizes in air. Shades: sky blue, washed blue, stone blue, medium indigo, deep indigo, navy indigo. Not for human or animal consumption.
